Been trying to branch out in my photochopping skills, and decided to dabble in some realism.
So 1st go is some faked up stitched leather.
I know the colors are a bit blown out right now and could use some refinement. Looking for comments/suggestions regarding the stitching and shading/shadows, and level of realism (aside from the garish color levels)

It looks real, but I don't think it'll give you much protection in a fall.
I am not a PS ninja, but I think it looks great.

the green looks more real than the red...it needs more shadowing.
and its too bright
