Hi everyone, I've had a Ducati Monster 695 for many many miles (~20,000mi and 2yrs) and recently picked up an S2R 1000 instead ;D
No wonder you're smiling 8)
Welcome to the DMF
The 695 is a slouch compared to the S2R.
Happy riding [thumbsup]
Welcome, congrats on the new S2R (and both are great bikes)! [thumbsup]
We love bike pictures, so please feel free to share any that you have. ;D
have fun! [moto]
Thanks for the greetings. Here's a picture of the my-old-loyal-first-motorcycle, the 695. It was so much fun, it would never do something unfriendly. Here's a few notes on the differences I've noticed so far, some are obvious:
- The S2R1k isn't as mindless to maneuver at low speeds as the 695, I'm always adjusting the clutch
- Somehow, the S2R1k is a lot more comfortable
- I have to get used to the S2R1k's full potential hahaha
- I've got to keep in mind that the S2R doesn't have a slipper clutch (yet)

I'll take a picture of the S2R sometime soon.
