Just picked up a 620i.e for the better half, and dropped the oil/ filter. The bike store recommended Motul 5100 10W50. Changed the oil out, and went for a ride. Almost straight away I noticed that the gears changed were crunchy. Thought is was me just getting used to the bike, however did not improve, same on up & down changes and at the top of rev range in 1st/2nd it felt like the clutch slipped a bit.... Did a search and noticed that others had strange noises / clutch slip with Motul 5100......and other info would be great. Cheers Cabron Title: Re: Yes ..Oil Ain't Oils....Issues with Motul 5100???? I suspect that the 10W50 is too heavy, especially given the cooler weather we've been having.

Noticeable shift improvement over the recommended Shell stuff too. Personally I rate it. I think you can still get it in 10W-40, but it might have been phased out by 10W-50
