Just wondering the advantages of each. Want to know if I should switch to a 525 setup when the time comes.

I don't think the 800 requires a 525, so you won't gain anything from an over sized chain.
They're more expensive and heavier.
Same goes for me as well I assume with a 695? 520 is more than adequate?

IMO...absolutely
So why would one choose a 525?

Bigger engine, more power, more tq.
last longer and resists stretching. A friend on a CBR600 has an 530 that last him well over 20,000 miles. a 520 wouldnt of last that long.
^This was my thinking as well...after all, how much more does a 525 setup weigh?
10-15 years ago, a 525 would've lasted longer than a 520. Nowadays they all have high enough tensile strength to accomodate most bikes available to the public. Proper maintenance and adjustment will have a bigger factor than size.

I don't know exactly, but the weight difference is *really* noticeable if you were to just hold a 520 and 525 in each hand. And because it's weight in the drivetrain, the weight difference is magnified. There's not really a good reason to put a wider chain on a lower hp bike.
