Title: Chain tool?
Post by: Slide Panda on June 02, 2008, 09:47:13 AM
Just trying to plan out my DIY jobs and the season's probably going to see new sprox and chain for the old girl.  I have all the tools for the job save a chain riveting tool (a breaker would be handy too)

Anyone have one they would be willing to loan out in the near'ish future?

I've got a complete breaker/riviter. Let me know when you need it. I'll be in Sterling on Saturday moto reffing for a bike race on Sally Ride Dr  off of Sterling Blvd. I always cut thru DC via 395 and GW parkway to get to NOVA. I could swing by Alexandria on my way home or you could come get it from me there. Either way works.

I'll keep that you have it in mind.  I am heading out to Ashburn that evening - but I bet your race will be well over by then.  This isn't an immediate need sort of thing anyways - so there's time to plot.

Wooo thanks for all the offers.

I need to take a good look at my drive suite to see if I actually need to thing about this in the near future.  I've been using that Dupont teflon goop and an casual inspection everything looks like it did 6k miles ago... but I need to get my face in it to have a good look for signs of wear.
