We've talked about doing one at Bwillow, but have never got it together.
+2 on Miller.
I've always wanted to do a trackday.
I would be down for Streets of Willow. Big Willow is just ok on my Monster....

BARBER
DMF Trackday Southeast.
I'm down for Barber, and could probably accomodate a couple people who need to spend the night.
I've been trying to figure out how to get a group together to go down there for awhile. I think it would make an incredible "Ducati Owners of America" national rally location, with the track AND the museum, plus scenic roads in the area

how's the Italian bike trackday going?
it petered out. Had some interest, but not enough to make it affordable for all those that were interested. I think it needs to be combined with a rally for cost-effectiveness.
Have a band, show/awards for various classes, t-shirts, professional photographer for your bike, perhaps a dyno pull, etc, and cost of admittance all to help subsidize the trackday. Putting it all together as a Ducati "extravaganza" would be really cool. But would require some serious backing from DNA.
So that's the plan. I'm going to routinely bother them with my ideas until they jump on it.
Good luck on that...
Ok, heres an idea... We all know the biggest problem is the cost. And figuring that a Trackday at Buttonwillow is fairly cheap at around $6k total, it would be a good start. That being said, if a trackday it too expensive, how about a session at another persons day? I can pretty easily put together a exclusive session for Ducati riders... Everyone in the same group, all on the track together... Good start no?
Yikes, there be some folks with experience who will want to get the "most for their money" on the track at the same time as a track-virgin (if we do one group on the track all at the same time). Just feel like those who are experienced will feel like its a parade-lap, while the novice group might be overwhelmed, and the intermediate class being pretty well satisfied.
For reference, Barber is over 15k for a weekday.

Hell yes. Hwy 25 out to 29 Dreams Motorcycle Resort. Kills me. [thumbsup]
The biggest problem with trying to organize a private trackday is money. Somebody has to come up with the dollars to rent the track, or at least reserve a track date. BW is around $6k, SoW is $5.5K. The risk is that not enough people will sign up so you don't lose any your money. The best way to get around that problem is find 10, or more, guys willing to risk $600 that way you minimize your individual risk. If nobody but the investors show up it just turns into a very expensive trackday and not a financial disaster.
Or start a trackday fund through the forum asking for donations then charge a basic rate for the trackday using the funds to create a trackday account to pay for the next event. Time consuming but no risk.
The next problem is finding a date. Most tracks rent out weekends first and are sold out right away and at a higher rate. Then Friday/Monday's, then mid week dates. The best way around that problem is to pick an available date at random and stick to it. But when you pick the lowest cost mid week date you have a group of unhappy donators that can't attend because of work. I know I sound pretty negative here, believe me I'd love to attend and I'll be glad to donate $100 to TD fund, just trying to let you know some of the issues.

Forget DNA. Your best bet is to get the clubs together. I'm not entirely sure how much it costs to rent Barber. I assume it's not cheap. I believe Jennings in North Florida will run you 4K to rent on a saturday, so I assume for Barber it would be closer to 8. That means you would need to get 32 riders at $250 to break even. $250 for a track day is not unheard of, it's downright common and 32 riders is no big deal if you contact all the SE clubs, including US Desmo. The issue is that you have to front the money to get the date you want and there's no guarantee that people will show up. Let me know if you ever need help putting this together.
i was quoted in the teens for barber.
Wow. Nevermind. How about Jennings/Little Tally/Roebling Road?
