So i've searched and i havent found if there were any stores that locally sold the bearings for the clutch plates (pressure plates) Anybody have a location aside from ebay that they use/would like to use or know that they sell them?
California Cycleworks, a sponsor.
it's a sealed 6201 c3, should be easy to find.
your local dealer will probably have them in stock.
or Monster Parts, Motowheels, CA Cycleworks, etc
thanks! Is there a good, better, best? or is the stock one pretty much the way to go? I heard grumblings in some searches i did about ceramic or Japanese bearings being better, is there any validity to that?
Just grab one and go, I don't think you can over-think this issue really. The bearing should be free of catches when you spin it with your fingers, and its sealed. Don't go and lube up a bearing that's going in your clutch.
so stock bearing, no lube - check! Thanks, although it seems easy it's always such a daunting task messing with things in the engine i've never done because I dont know about the nuances of the things yet. Thanks for the help everyone [thumbsup]
Yep, the bearing should be well under $20, iirc. Replace if you feel it sticking. Press it in nicely. Leave it in the freezer for awhile, and heat up the pressure plate and it goes in easier. Don't you dare hammer on the inner race or the bearings seal lest you f up the whole thing.

We could have worked out better shipping for you as we have a shipping option "Ecomony" which means find the lowest price for shipping. We apologize that it wasn't clear and hope to help you better in the future. Glad you got your part!

+1 they will always help you find a better way to ship your item. Cause sometimes its unrealistic to pay $10 shipping for a $5 part.
Theres very very few shops who are personal like this. PJs, monsterparts, CA-cycleworks, and revzilla are the only 3 i know of who are on that level.

thanks! In the future I would love to order from you guys. I did call and was quoted 5 for shipping via usps, which is still expensive seeing as how I'm 5hrs away. I was kinda dissapointed. Though in the future I'll surely call first and hopefully work something out :-)
and He Man- didn't you name 4 companies :-P

I know it's squabbling over 5 bucks but the fact that the girl I spoke with was arguing with me that usps couldn't be any less expensive seemed silly to me. CannedIce is probably the girl you spoke to man. :-X (canned ice = candice)
