Title: Aprilia Dealer
Post by: Ontario_Monster on April 23, 2010, 08:52:44 AM
Anyone have a local Aprilia dealship that they could pass on, seems the Aprilia dealers here in Ontario don't stock anything, more than that it is about 100% more expensive than some of the prices I've seen listed on websites for OEM parts.  I'm asking as my little bro has purchased a Shiver and he feels like the Aprilia dealerships here are giving him the run around, 2-3 weeks to get a part etc.  At least he had the sence to have the Duc shop safety it for him.

Cheer and Thanks for the assist.

North American dealerships preferred but hell we can deal with a European shop if it makes things quicker.

The local shop close to me doesn't stock much - what are you looking for? I'd be happy to hop on down there sometime and ask for you - or ask how long it takes to get / cost

After watching my friend look for basic maintenance parts for his RSV Mille I came to think the rough translation of Aprilia into English means, "Not is stock."

if you know what part you need. most dealerships do "dealer exchange". if they don't have the part instock themsleves, they can find some other dealer that will and ship it to you. that's how i got my starter solenoid without waiting a month from Ducati.

Thanks everyone, there is a dealer here in Toronto, but as usualy they don't seem to be in any real rush to order an item or in a rush to deal with you if you didn't buy the bike from them, not to mention they were 100% more expensive than AF1Racing quoted (after the part arrived).  In the mean time lil bro managed to get the parts in that he needed and the bike is now safetied for the road.  Now all I have to wait for is the weather to be nice (warmer than 50F) on a weekend so the two of us can get together for a ride.

Again thanks and I'm sure there will be at least a few of these places being contacted about parts over the summer.

Cheers

The gf is from London and I have to admit I've only been into Inglis twice in 4 years, and they didn't have a single Aprilia in stock.  Good to know though I've heard some good things about them in general but I've not had a reason to deal with them as of yet.

Also tried Apex out of Guelph but they didn't stock anything for the Aprilia as of yet, apparently thier Ducati parts stock is a bit better, I've heard it is a new owner so I'm sure there will be a little pain till things get sorted out.
