Title: Finished my mods of 1100S
Post by: swankdaddy7 on April 29, 2010, 01:19:45 PM
Been working all winter on this stuff.  Did 70% myself and had a mechanic do the rest.

[thumbsup]  Lookin good!  Going to be going black/gold with my 1100S as well.

Questions:
How'd you do the gas cap gold&black?  Just paint?  What kind?
What combo did you get for the rear sprocket?

Sweet!! [beer]

But man, don't ever say it's finished.  You will always find something else you want to change (maybe you'll do it, maybe you won't), but don't ever say it's finished [laugh]

Thanks.  I powdercoated the gas cap.  Took it completely apart and individually pc'ed the pieces.  I left one hinge on the gold piece in place during pc.

It's a yoyodyne 42t lightweight rear sprocket with a DP gold carrier.  I did a 520 chain and sprocket conversion.  Kept the front sprocket at 15t, but got a lightweight one suitable to the 520 mod.

Thanks.  Yeah, you are definitely right.  I use the term "finished" very loosely.

You got new Rizoma mirrors!  And the ceramic coated end caps look great - of course  8)  How'd you like the Termi full system??

Yeah, the other mirrors got scraped up in a low speed corner when I hit some gravel, so I gave these a try.  Yeah, you inspired me on the ceramic end caps, I like them a lot.  The full termi system is nice.  I've only had it on for a couple weeks.
