So tech gurus here's a thought/question I have for you:
First, today an @$$h01e backed into my bike (from the left side) and knocked it over on the right side. Luckily the sliders all did their work with some minor damage to the rear brake pedal and jammed my CRG mirrors into my Rizoma throttle making for a difficult drive home (didn't have my tools) -- side note: interesting to feel how a Throttlemeiser would feel...
Here's the point:
Has anyone ever tried to put an extra long kick stand on the right side to give the bike more support to stay on the left-side kickstand? Obviously mounting, springing, length, etc are all considerable issues, but perhaps someone (or some company) has tried this in the past to no avail. I'd like to know your thoughts!
Your where I am 3 years ago. ( i gave up and just accpeted the fact already)
Your bike if you use it as a daily commuter, will be knocked over (you should come by and take a look at my bike. :P ask Airborne how it looks like) And thank whoever was watching over the bike it wasnt knocked over the other way around... wanna know what happens? The kick stand puts a hole in your engine.
This is the reason why I dont have nice barend mirrors, ive destroyed 6 CRG ebay clones, because everytime the bike goes flat,my bar end mirrors get destroyed. This is also why i switched to big fat cycle cat sliders, and apex clip ons where the tubes are only $14.
Now onto your topic, no one makes that, because MOST bikes dont get knocked over. Only the few people who ride in the city do.

*sigh* You're right. And I don't need anything piercing my engine... ugh.
I poped for the CRG Lanesplitter mirrors and they didn't break.... I also do fold them in when I'm parked just incase someone wants to do something stupid. The Motovation frame & axel sliders did well... they're definitely scuffed now but not a mark on any paint and only the brake lever to complain about.
Guess I'll start parking at more of an angle like a douche... and I'll see about getting a giant sticker to put on SUV rear windows... one with my face in panic with both hands pressed against their window.... ah who am I kidding, if they actually checked their mirrors this whole thing wouldn't be necessary.... [bang]
park as straight as you can. usually its people who back into your bike not drive into it (though i have had both happen to me)
If you park at an angle, and someone backs up, they are likely to hit your handle bar and if you have your steering lock on, then then that one contact point can push the whole bike over.
If you park straight then it gives them more room to back up and hopefully narrowly miss the bike... if i installed a mini camera that took pics of people backing up into me, id be filthy rich right now.
Another thing you can do to prevent them from backing your bike and is easy to do... when you park, just slash their tires. :P
