Title: Best Way to clean white wheels
Post by: Labbedds on May 02, 2010, 12:31:14 PM
I've tried everything to get dirty white wheels clean and here is what works for me.

s100, sucks it's overpriced, car detergent worked better.
Honda polish (spray), if the rims are a little dirty, just spray on and wipe off works great! sold at cycle gear
simple green, for hard grit/grime, but must rinse thoroughly as simple green isn't too nice on aluminum it's very alkaline
nufinish polish etc. great for keeping the dust off put on every 1000 miles or so.

*****Rubbing compound (turtle wax liquid) this works spectacularly!!!  once rim is clean if there are grime or dark marks that nothing else will get off this stuff is awesome.  Make sure to follow up with another quick coat of wax or the honda polish to protect the paint!!   Will post pics of clean rims later, should have taken before shots, it's a world of difference.

There is supposed to be some armor all stuff that keeps the grime and brake dust off in the first place. I'm thinking of trying it.
