I hope Jr does extremely well and His Dad suffers the consequence.  I'm not a fan but his Dad is a putz.  Sr has no relationship with any of his children.  What does that say about a Man?

Interesting - and the shops are across from one another - I see shop sabotage and a lot of yelling from across the street happening!!!  [cheeky]

Is it just me or have all these car/motorcycle shows on TLC/Discovery became tiresome?  5 years ago, I couldn't get enough of American Chopper, Overhaulin', etc...  I am getting tired of these little people/19 kids shows, too...   [bang]

To be quite honest, I am glad they're coming back.  The bikes Sr. and crew were building after Paulie left were awesome.  Much better than anything with him.

I still think that the first bike that Cody, the  kid in the shop designed was the best one they ever made. It was green with a bit of raised trim down the center of the bike. It was simple and clean. Very nice chopper.

Hey that's it, they need to add the shop that Vinnie has as the third competing business!!  [cheeky]

Don't forget the guy that was in the first few episodes that left to start his own shop, that builds theme bikes. They could put all the shops on the same road.

Mike Rowe voice "One this episodes of Chopper Alley...."

I've been to there old store/ bike display area, the nicest bike was the Vinnie and Mikey bike.

Its going to be interesting... Vinnie is a very good friend of mine, and his shop actually turns out some really cool bikes - for choppers!  Cody works there with him, and he has recently re-aquired the original Cody bike. its a pretty cool piece!

Looking foreward to seeing the show, its an interesting spin on things.

They'll now be throwing the wrenches across the street instead of across the shop...

I can see the show already.  It'll be a competition.  One shop will build Goldman Sacs chopper and the shop across the street will build the Congressional chopper.  And the public will vote to determine the winner.  But we all know in the end both bikes will win.

Am I the only one who smells a red herring here? Really??? The 2 guys split up, take time off TV now all of a sudden ther will have shops ACROSS THE STREET FROM EACH OTHER??? No shit....who would have figured?

My whole family loved that show for the first 3 or so years, then it got old. We would check in VERY OCCASIONALLY. Do you think I'd tune in now after not watching for several years........HELL YES...........

...........And nobody else sees this for what it is?

Maybe Jr.'s first bike will be a OCC themed bike that looks like an ass with a mustache.

Is there an "old" shop and a "new" shop?

A) I'm not a "chopper" person.

B) Never have liked the OCC theme bikes, as they always seemed contrived and more theme than bike.

That said, I was fascinated by some of the details they worked into the bikes... just too many details on a single bike. It's like that scene in Wayne's World where Garth refuses to succumb to corporate sponsorship, while wearing all that Reebok or Adidas gear, head to toe. Okay... I get it... it's a bike for HP/Gilette/I Robot (or any other corporate entity).

I hope they build a motorcycle themed bike. It would be a bike that is inspired by two wheeled motorized transportation that are actually used on the road.

I would like to see more shows with people just riding. Traffic. Commuting. Weekend rides. Poker runs. Whatever. No high speed track days. No Sturgis or Daytona. No trick bikes.

Your setting a rather low bar there.

I would have thought with the "design" work Jr did on that Coleman grill some Fortune 500 company would have snatched him up by now.   ;D

Yeah, saw a show with that guy riding through Scotland. It was interesting, but he was very boring.

I've seen him on a classic car show too. Can't remember his name, or that of either of the shows.

Dennis Gage....My Classic Car.

I saw the bike show and it was boring as hell.

There aren't any good motorcycle shows on TV aside from racing.  I saw an episode of Throttle Junkies the other day and turned it off after 10 minutes.  It had Vinnie and Cody in it, they were in Florida I think, and for an entire segment they were at a Mexican restaurant talking about what a chimichanga was and what they were going to order.  Had some cute little blonde.  But she looked tired an annoyed the entire time.  If you aren't having fun while filming why should I watch?  Seriously...WTF???

That's why I like American Chopper.  Cause even though the bikes were crap the dysfunction was awesome....

I caught a show once called "Epic Rides" that was kind of like that.  They'd get some random assembly of riders, just regular joe's/jane's mostly, throw them in some factory gear and motorcycles and ride somewhere.  Sometimes it was motard, sometimes track, sometimes just a awesome ride through some twisties.  I haven't seen it in a while unfortunately.

One day they went to a motard track and 2 of the 3 participants were complaining how it wasn't 'epic' so they scrambled the next day to make it more epic.
