Title: Anyone have experience with Mammoth Motorsports in Rohnert Park?
Post by: Silver King on May 05, 2010, 05:57:33 AM
Howdy all!

So, I was wondering if anyone here has had first or second hand experience with the folks at Mammoth Motorsports in Rohnert Park?  Perhaps a better question is: where do all of you Sonoma County folks take their bikes for computer wizardy?  I'm in Santa Rosa and I have a 2004 800ie that needs some idle/fuel mixture love as I don not feel like buying the VDSTS software.

Thanks in advance for your help.  [beer]

I'm going to take the lack of responses as a "no"

The guys that folks trust the most can be found in the Local Resources thread http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=562.0 (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=562.0)

Thanks for the link.  I checked it out before and should point out that Moto Meccanica is no longer around.  Closest Ducati shop for me is in San Rafael.  The Mammoth guys' website (http://www.mammothmotorsports.com/home2.html (http://www.mammothmotorsports.com/home2.html))seems encouraging.  They have a dyno and work on all kinds of bikes.  I was hoping that someone here might know a bit more.

Anyhow, thanks.

Moto Meccanica is gone, but Jason (former co-owner) opened up The Motorcycle Shop in the same place with the same phone # 707.578.6686  Not 100% sure, but I think he still has the dyno.  Jason is a Ducati guy, if I needed a Dyno tune on a Duc I'd call him first.

Damon and crew at Mammoth seem more japanese manufacturer oriented.  I let them run my dirt bike on their dyno when they first got it, but only a base run - no tuning.

Swing by a Santa Rosa Bike Night (http://www.northbaysportriders.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8198) and ask around.
