Title: Want to catch Crowbar's movie? 5/12 @ 7pm
Post by: Michael Moore on May 06, 2010, 05:54:17 PM
Kurt's movie, Tenderloin, is showing at the Rafael theater in San Rafael, and he's going to be there with the director.

I thought it might be cool if we met there and caught the flick and maybe had a beer after at Broken Drum Brewery.

Here's the blurb on the flick:

TENDERLOIN
In Person: Director Michael Anderson, Writer Ned Miller,
Lead Actor Kurt Yaeger
Just Added: 9:30 Show with Filmmakers Introducing
Wednesday, May 12, 7:00, 9:30
Marin-based filmmaker Michael Anderson, joined by his writer and lead actor, will present their touching drama Tenderloin, which premiered at the 2009 Mill Valley Film Festival. Kurt Yaeger stars as Ben, an Iraq war veteran who takes a job managing a residential hotel in San Francisco's Tenderloin District. Anger-management issues have separated Ben from his wife and son, and while his self-esteem has sunk about as low as it could go, he is surprised to discover kinship and compassion with the alcoholics, junkies and transvestites who live in the building and surrounding neighborhood. And as Ben carefully sets out to rebuild his relationship with his young son (Jack Indiana), he also finds that his new life offers a road to redemption as well. Also starring Tina Huang, Stephan Smith Collins, Liz Frances Rolfe, Richard Conti. Producer: Sam Rider. Writer: Ned Miller. Director: Michael Anderson. (US 2009) Film 80 min. plus discussion.

Enzo and I might drive in so we can stay out a little later and have a booze or four.  What time do you think that we'll be at the pub?  If it's early enough we'll take the 2-wheelers.
