Title: Moto2 - I'm Lovin It! Post by: zenjim on May 06, 2010, 07:44:29 PM Who's with me?
Man are these guys scrapping! And this weekend with Elias and Toye especialy! Wow! I was on the edge of my chair more than the MotoGP (at least until Lorenzo's last lap). I tend to glaze over with the 125 series, but the Moto2 has been a blast to watch. I can't believe how much I'm looking forward to it now. Title: Re: Moto2 - I'm Lovin It! Post by: gm2 on May 06, 2010, 07:50:55 PM i think jeremy toye is still just a (really fast) socal club racer. kenny noyes on the other hand... [roll] ;D
totally agree [thumbsup] but the 250s were/were nearly just as fun. Title: Re: Moto2 - I'm Lovin It! Post by: pennyrobber on May 06, 2010, 08:24:33 PM Loving moto2, missing the sound of the 2 strokes.

Post by: zooom on May 07, 2010, 01:21:58 AM I also like that the bikes are seemingly equal on power and you have slightly different riding styles going head to head and showing the colors of their style and the attributes of their chassis and set-up.
Title: Re: Moto2 - I'm Lovin It! Post by: desmoquattro on May 07, 2010, 03:19:42 AM I like that there are enough bikes on the grid to have 9 of 'em crash in the same corner and still have a decent grid on the restart ;D

Post by: desmoquattro on May 07, 2010, 03:33:12 AM Didn't everyone re-start anyway? Yeah. My point was more about having 9 bikes in a crash...in MotoGP that'd be considered a massacre. Noyes also said that he thinks Moto2 will suit Americans better than GP250, so hopefully we see some more in the future. Title: Re: Moto2 - I'm Lovin It! Post by: ducpainter on May 07, 2010, 03:36:10 AM Yeah. My point was more about having 9 bikes in a crash...in MotoGP that'd be considered a massacre. Half the field... [thumbsup]If that happened, and the crashers couldn't re-start, would the race count for points? [waiting for derby to pull out the rule book ;D] Title: Re: Moto2 - I'm Lovin It! Post by: desmoquattro on May 07, 2010, 04:05:38 AM Half the field... [thumbsup] You're being too generous. 9 bikes in MotoGP is usually 60% of the field ;D Title: Re: Moto2 - I'm Lovin It! Post by: duccarlos on May 07, 2010, 04:14:06 AM I want them to go back to having to push their bikes of the line on the start. Now that was cool.

That would be good.I doubt that they'd run many races if they did though. Title: Re: Moto2 - I'm Lovin It! Now that was cool. too dangerous... there's a reason you rarely see le mans starts anymore. Title: Re: Moto2 - I'm Lovin It! Post by: Spidey on May 07, 2010, 05:27:12 AM I don't know that it's any better racing than the 250s were ('cept that there is more sliding), but it seems like more people are watching it.

I agree. For whatever reason, I have a hard time getting into the 125 and 250 races. I really like Moto2 though. Maybe it's because of the sliding...always makes a race more fun to watch! ;D Title: Re: Moto2 - I'm Lovin It! Post by: zooom on May 07, 2010, 07:16:26 AM seemingly? they're all using the exact same motor. they ARE equal in power. but since they are using different exhaust systems and styles, there are variances in some level of state of optimal tune. Not enough to make a big difference. It's not like 250s, where some of the bikes were clearly superior to others. Noyes' rear-sliding, tight defensive lines from last weekend were just awesome to watch. He made himself a total pregnant dog to pass. Title: Re: Moto2 - I'm Lovin It! But first they run to the bikes from 40 yards away.Title: Re: Moto2 - I'm Lovin It! Loved watching him throw in that arc in each of the short straights to shut down the inside. It was like he was saying I DARE you to try and pass me when I do this shit. I think Elias was having an absolute blast dicing it up with him too. It was a very fun race to watch. Title: Re: Moto2 - I'm Lovin It!
