Title: Chrome or silver chain? Post by: Airborne on May 08, 2010, 04:33:27 PM I just ordered a EK MVXZ chain from monsterparts in black with gold rollers. It looks pretty nice but I'm not sure how it'll look with the rest of my bike which is basically all gloss black with silver aftermarket bits. I found an EK mvxz apparently in chrome here http://www.moto-chains.com/site/898528/product/ek520mvxz. (http://www.moto-chains.com/site/898528/product/ek520mvxz.) I think it would match well it the new supersprox stealth i got.

I might just end up keeping the black and gold chain. Title: Re: Chrome or silver chain? Post by: DarkStaR on May 08, 2010, 05:32:07 PM The chain will turn black sooner or later...If you don't clean it. [cheeky]
I've got a gold chain (DID EVR3) also, but I didn't but it for the color... I'm not in to the whole gold thing, but the chain does compliment the Ti/Ni fork sliders. :-\ (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y126/hundredpercentkill/dmf/DSC00001-1.jpg) Title: Re: Chrome or silver chain? Post by: psycledelic on May 09, 2010, 03:15:03 AM I think the black chain would look good. I wish I would have went with black, It would have looked much better with my setup. But as said earlier, it will all be black eventually! (unless you actually clean yours)

Just sayin........It s also completely stretches to tothe floggi the bike gets, in all gears so iShould repace it, but make up is more important. Its a girl thing. [laugh]
Title: Re: Chrome or silver chain? Post by: He Man on May 09, 2010, 07:09:39 PM at first i said to myself. make up, what are u a girl.
oh wait u are. skip on the new shade of lipstick and clean your chain women! bah who am i to talk i never clean my chain. :-X Title: Re: Chrome or silver chain? Post by: psycledelic on May 09, 2010, 09:39:42 PM When I first bought my bike, I constantly cleaned the chain to silence the squeaking sound. In time, I learned that if you make the bike louder, the squeaking "goes away".

Title: Re: Chrome or silver chain? Post by: duc_poultry on May 10, 2010, 01:24:25 PM Why does it matter what your chain looks like?

Title: Re: Chrome or silver chain? Post by: Airborne on May 10, 2010, 03:52:40 PM Why does it matter what your chain looks like? I spend entirely way toooooo much money on things only I would notice. I'd like to think though that it all comes together in the end when everything is on the bike and it all works. Title: Re: Chrome or silver chain? Post by: pennyrobber on May 11, 2010, 07:40:26 AM why??? people can only like colors you do? it isnt a part only for ducatis lots of girls dirtbike stuff in pink I didn't say there was anything wrong with the color pink. Pink gear for girls is fine. A sparkly pink chain on the other hand is a mockery no matter what bike it is used on. Female riders should be offended that a company would make something that so grotesquely stereotypes the aesthetics that appeal to women. But hey, if you want a sparkly pink chain... [laugh] that shits dangerous. you need to take care of that, if you cant do maintenance that basic you should sell your bike. Title: Re: Chrome or silver chain? Post by: He Man on May 11, 2010, 09:34:39 AM Its not that dangerous. unless ur chain is kinked up and rusty and ready to snap.
but my chain rust within a day of cleaning it. its going to stretched and be past its life time before u develop enough rust to casue it to snap. that is of course, you over extending the life of ur chain and its ready to go. Next time a DMF'er is poor and needs a new chain, I'm sending that pink chain as a pay-it-forward. Title: Re: Chrome or silver chain? But hey, if you want a sparkly pink chain... +1 It's like a pink tool kit I saw once. It's not made for women to buy, but for men to buy one another as a joke. Title: Re: Chrome or silver chain? Title: Re: Chrome or silver chain? Post by: badgalbetty on May 11, 2010, 06:22:15 PM I'll take a free pink chain no problem!
