Title: M620 Trouble cold start
Post by: ryno86 on May 09, 2010, 09:21:12 PM
I've been having trouble lately when cold starting my monster, typically I've been riding only once or twice a week, the bike will start fine and I'll warm up the bike for about a minute, then when I try to put the bike into first gear the bike will take a little jump and turn off. Upon restart, I usually have to hold the brake because when putting it in gear the bike will keep on trying to move forward, like it is in gear. This only happens when I don't use the bike for a while. When I jump back on the bike after few hours or more the bike will go into gear just fine.
I check all fluids and they are good.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

Ryan

Sounds like your clutch isn't disengaging properly, and could do with some adjustment.  That or else it's so cold your oil is going gooey, and causing the clutch to drag.  Perhaps some oil more suited to your climate than.
