Just for the record:  I HAVE NO AFFILIATION WITH TPO Parts.

So I had a couple of $ burning a hole in my Paypal account, so I decided to buy a couple of random parts for the S2R. 

Many people complain about TPO for one reason or another, so I wanted to get my own impression of their parts.

I could of easily made/or purchased some of these parts elsewhere, but why waste my time making things that are already available.  I’d rather waste time making things that are not available.  I also figure I’ll try them out, see what I like/dislike, and maybe make my own based on these pieces.

So here we go with the reviews:

Rectifier/Regulator Relocator Kit

This Item does three things:

1) Relocate the Rectifier/Regulator for improved cooling,
2) Claims to provide a surface in which the Rectifier/Regulator can dissipate heat to, and
3) Remove the crankcase vent Oil Catch tank.

This was a direct bolt on piece with no extra modifications necessary.  This item does require a crank case breather filter to be purchased separately.

The finish has a slight wrinkle coat that seems to be pretty scratch resistant.

The included hardware includes everything needed and more/extra:  SS bolts, SS nylock nuts, & zipties.  The only thing that bugged me was that some of the bolts did not match in appearance (different style caps/markings). 

After relocating the Rectifier/Regulator the wires get a bit bunched up on the left side of the frame.  I'll probable be doing a wire clean up soon to tidy up and hide some of the wires.

The package I was sent did not include instructions, but who looks at that stuff anyways.

I think this item is worth the $ if you are lazy, or not very good at fabricating things.  I also think the good finish and fit of this piece makes up for most of the cost.

This item does 1 thing:

1) Allows the removal of the crank case breather tube.

Not much to say about this.  This could probably be purchased at many parts stores for maybe half the cost.  However, you know this one will fit.

This kit also includes a clamp, oil, and an assortment of plugs for the air box.  The clamp didn’t seem to good, so I just used the stock one.

The package I was sent did not include instructions, but who looks at that stuff anyways.

The best part of this kit, I think, is the assortment of air box plugs (needed to remove the crankcase vent Oil Catch tank).

I will probably add a tube to raise the filter to help prevent oil from blowing out, but well see how it goes as is.  I’ll update if necessary

Feel free to add your own experience with TPO parts weather they be good/bad, supporting/contradicting, worth while/worthless.

However, let's NOT include personal feelings about the company/owners, and just focus on the parts them selves.

I got their emissions cannister removal kit for my S4RS.  I've got nothing but good things to say about the parts, the instructions, and the delivery.  The price is subjective.  It was worth the money for me to have a kit that came with all the necessary parts and clear instructions to get the job done right.  No complaints here!  [thumbsup]

Same here. Used the Emissions Removal Kit on my S2R800. Worked Great. Looks great.

I have their Emissions Removal Kit  and  Crankcase Breather.  Fast shipping. 

I've bought the Beast intake, the emissions removal kit, the regulator relocater, stainless engine/body hardware kit, and the kickstand switch bypass kit.

I've been pleased with the fit and finish on everything, as well as the excellent instructions.  The stuff is a little pricy, but I feel it's worth it to have a part I know fits well.

Oh and definitely had fast shipping.

I'm very happy with my license plate relocator. It's very well-made and finished and came with extra fasteners and instructions that were serious overkill (just the way I like my instructions!). It arrived before I expected. I don't know if they're Aggies, but given their location I hope so.

In theory, I could have fabricated my own. However, I'm more or less a mechanical dunce and have very little spare time. What I do have I prefer to spend with my family, riding, or whatever. Fabricating a relocator out of sheet stock would not be fun for me. If it would be for you, there's no need for you to consider this item.

I used TPO's brake light and tag mount I used when I did my tail chop.  I also used their hyperscreen kit when I modified my belt and sprocket cover. Both were delivered quicker then expected and came with great instructions.  Both prices also seemed to be fair, but not a steal.  I would definately do business with them again. 

I got something from 'em.  I think it was the frame plugs, (so many mods) I remember I was very satisified though.

Just wanted to throw my support in for the guys at TPO.  I bought the crankcase filter and emissions removal kit and agree with the general feedback above - great products, fast shipping, but kind of pricey for what you get.  What made it worth every penny was the great email support that I received when my emissions removal took a strange turn due to the previous owners hacking around.  I would definitely do business with them again - next up is the kickstand bypass switch so I can warm up this thing on the stand now that it's getting colder.

I've got the breather filter, no complaints so far.  Not much to the kit, it's just some parts put in a bag by TPO... I guess the airbox plugs worked well, while I still used them.

Made my own rectifier mounting plate because that was where I couldn't justify spending the money.  Given my materials and tools used, the TPO is likely a lot better but, for the purpose served and location, I have no complaints with mine.  Also skipped on the emissions removal kit once I saw what was involved.

Recently put on the TPO Beast Intake Kit.  Never would buy it new due to price, but I got a good deal on a slightly used set so I went for it.  The instructions are excellent, 100% idiot-proof as evidenced by my functional motorcycle.  I expected to relocated the front coil myself and was pretty happy to find the kit takes care of that.

As seems to be the trend here, my experience says they put together good kits but similar results can be obtained for cheaper if you throw something together yourself.
