I bought 2002 998 from dealer. I put about 300 miles.
about a week ago, I noticed clutch problem when I accelerated fast (the problem means, it doesn't speed up fast and rpm goes up very slow)
I just kept switching the gear and it was fine.
today, it was happening all the time. there was few times it worked ok but as I go over 5000 rpm, it was slipping again.
should I replace clutch set????? I has a mod related to gear shifting (don't know exactly what that is)
I can find out right away at the dealer but they are closed on monday so I am asking here :)
only way to be sure is to open her up and take a look. takes about 15 minutes. check the tutorial
hm if I open the cover, how can I tell if it's bad or not?
can I keep driving in this condition?
If the clutch were slipping, the RPMs would go up very fast with little or no acceleration of the bike. That doesn't sound like what you described.

I think there's a language thing going on.
His clutch is toast.
can you elaborate on your speech?
yeah the rpm didn't go up fast. I turned the handle grip like more than halfway (if everything was working fine, I would've been flying), the rpm went up maybe 500?
hopefully it's a fuel filter issue
BTW, the engine was dying too at the stop light. (it happend many times and I thought I had to adjust the rpm level)
well I will find out on Tue
