Title: Racing Stripes Decals Post by: MonsterTom on May 19, 2010, 03:52:26 AM Can anyone recommend a vinyl decal vendor. What I need is a 2' by 2' solid panel that I intend to cut up, and about 8' of 3/16" to 1/4" vinyl tape in the same color. I've contacted a couple places, but either they don't have the color I'm looking for (Royal Blue), or I'd have to purchase a 150' roll of 3/16" tape for $80 >:( I haven't yet contacted any local autobody shops to see if they'd recommend anyone. That's my next step. TIA

Title: Re: Racing Stripes Decals Post by: NJ Monster on May 20, 2010, 03:09:27 PM I use stickercity.com their vinyl is applied dry and can be picked up and re-applied if you screw up or get a bubble. use a heat gun and it can wrap around almost anything. Their 3M carbon fiber 3D vinyl is really cool too

Have you tried cutting this stuff before? What are the odds of my successfully cutting .25" strips out of their sheet material? Title: Re: Racing Stripes Decals Post by: MonsterTom on May 21, 2010, 07:06:27 AM I was placing my order with stickercity, but then found out they were going to charge me $16 for shipping :o Guess I'll keep looking.

Just google search for pinstripe tape, there are tons of vendors out there. You can get any color, width, even double stripes. You can even find basic colors at most auto parts stores.
