Title: 405 Note Post by: zenjim on May 20, 2010, 10:53:59 AM On the 405 South in Sherman Oaks/ Encino right at Ventura Blvd they have repainted the lines separating the Number 1 (carpool) lane from the number 2. They have been moved about 2 feet to the left, reducing the width of the carpool lane. I say this because you may be wondering why you can't "share" the lane. You're going to be bouncing back across the double yellow more than usual. It just feels weird. Also sucky - they have added the new BOTS dots that instead of being on the outside of the double yellow they are on it, and they are about twice as high as the normal ones. I think the new paint ends just before the top of the hill heading down to Getty. It's just weird, may throw you off.
