Certainly something I will go check out...I wonder if we could organize a ride to get there?

Has anyone been to an official Ducati NA demo?  How do they handle the rides?

I love the way Bob's BMW does it.  You go in, give them your license and a credit card.  They put a $2,000 charge on your card and let you go unsupervised.  You come back when you're done and if the bike is fine they cancel out the $2,000 charge.  It really allows you to get a feel for a bike.

Group demos with a leader can be fine.  I've done a couple that were satisfying and where it was possible to get a feel for the bike.  I've also done a couple where the leader set a painfully slow pace and I barely got the bike out of second.  I don't need or expect Ducati NA to let me play squid boy with their bikes, but I would like to be able to get them over 4,000 rpm in a gear higher than first.

Hopefully someone on this site knows the normal procedures...I really want to test some of the...ummm (sorry) well nevermind...other bikes.

Is anyone going in a cage? I need to get parts for installation and my bike down to Donnie's in the next week or so.

Diane,
PM me or give me a call.  I work in DC, live part time in Clarendon, have my Monster at Ducpond right now, and will be spending the next two weekends in Purcellville.  I'm sure we can work something out!

I went their today.  If you want to ride the MultiStrada get their early and sign up.  The lady doing sign ups said it was one of the most requested bikes and I think they only had one they were doing demos for.  They pretty much had at least 2 of everything except the Multi.  Two interesting things they had there was a GT1000 with bags and windscreen and a Sport Classic with a full fairing  [thumbsup].
