Title: Problem with clutch slave
Post by: Mad Duc on May 25, 2010, 04:23:41 AM
I took off the clutch slave to help take the sprocket cover off. I didn't do anything other than take it off and put it back on. Now my bike seems stuck with the clutch engaged. I have no power to the rear wheel. I can change gears no problem and the clutch lever feels the same.  I am not a wrench at all so I have no idea if there was something I should have done when working with the slave.

Any ideas or things I can try?

Thanks in advance.

take it off and put it back on.

you might have misaligned the pushrod.

is it the two-piece push rod (with the extension?)

just take it off and make sure everything is lined up properly and that you are putting it back on square, tightening every bolt a little bit at a time to make sure it goes on straight.

Thanks, I will try that. I took it off and put it back on but I did not align anything. Not sure if it's a two piece or not - it's a 696, not sure if anyone know that offhand or not.
