Title: anyone using a Mac?
Post by: muskrat on May 25, 2010, 08:21:01 PM
I have seen lately that instead of a youtube video being embedded it shows a grey box with FLASH in the middle and in order to lead the player I have to click on it.  Is there a fix for this shit?  [bang]
love my Mac but hate their Prison mentality

I'd make sure you were on the latest version of Flash.  I'd also download VLC media player, it allows for playback of multiple codecs not standard to Macs.  Flip4Mac is a component that will have windows media files read in Quicktime, I can't remember if it still has a free version available.

Most of the downloads can be found here:

mines working fine, one thing is that youtube started letting people subscribe to their BETA of the HTML5 player. and since not all videos are coded for it yet there may be an issue. to check if you are active with HTML5 go here:
http://www.youtube.com/html5 (http://www.youtube.com/html5)

you can choose to enroll or disenroll
