Yeah, I know, don't laugh. I'm planning doing a couple longer rides this year, and even though I'll be doing my best to not ride on any super slabs, I may have to at times.
Due to my 6'3" frame, my legs cramp up often. Lately I've been thinking of trying to mount some kind of cruising pegs for these rides that can be easily installed and removed. I have frame sliders that I use as rests sometimes, but they don't allow me to stretch my lower extremities very well.
Has anyone ever done this?
Thoughts?
Buy a cruising bike perhaps, them fit a ducati motor.......... [laugh]
That's no what my frame sliders are for?
I don't know of anyone actually doing this - but I don't see why someone with the right skills couldn't pull it off.
I have them on my Bandit for the same reason, but they're much easier to fit.
I have stretched my legs by hanging them on the Cycle Cat frame sliders.

Get a Ducati Indiana!!!!!!
im 6'3" as well
On super long rides if Im cramping up....I'll sit on the tank and let my legs hang for a few miles.
This is not what I advise [leo]

I hope to have a cruiser (in addition to my Monster) by this time next year. Oh, and without a Duc motor. Dare I say more...

I've done that too, but it's still uncomfortable.
Guess I'll have to use some engineering skills!
I had knee surgery about a year ago and have noticed that i'm a lot more uncomfortable on longer rides now. i put down the passenger pegs and hang my feet off of them. (you end up laying on your tank) But this works for me.

I forgot to mention I only do this on super-slabs. Never done it on twisties.
If you get cramped, you don't need no stinking pegs:

You can always do this... :o

I did it several times but gave up and now own another cruiser for dem long rides [thumbsup]
When I ride the 130 mile haul between cities I put my heels up on the frame that's horizontal up hear the front area of the fuel tank. Seems to work alright and it shifts my sitting position just enough for me to be able to stretch out my back. Plus my feet can be put on the pegs again pretty quick in the event that it's necessary.
Lower pegs:

I have Cycle Cat pegs, so I can lower them on longer hauls. Thanks for the link though man.
