Cleveland!!!....you can go eat good food at decent prices (Lolita, Winking LIzard, etc) and then you can quickly trip over to Sandusky to Cedar Point ( Roller Coaster mecca ) and then pop down to just outside Cincinnatti and go to Kings Island and on the way back hit Kennywood, Knoebles, Dorney or Hershey parks....

FYI Be sure to get your surgical implant card is you ever plan on flying.

It should be a food road trip. Find destinations that are famous/serve excellent food. Then we drive and feast and drive and feast some more.

I know, I know. It's the SO's birthday this weekend and she's the one who doesn't want to ride 2 up for 6 hours. Somehow I have to tell her that we're not gonna work out!

Drive to Juds (easy day trip) and camp out in front of his place for 2 days then go home.
Do nothing but monitor his actions and film it documentary style.

Yes there is a bit.  I can also dust off the 914 and take you out to the hill country. Good times.

And yea when it rains it pours. But only for about 30 minutes.

The more people I talk to from the SW the more I want to move there. Aside from the more extreme weather and natural disaster stuff It seems WAY better than here in PA. Our weather sucks 1/2 the year and our roads are HORRIBLE. If you can ride PA roads and navigate the 6" potholes, oil and stone roads (not even paved), blind curves, and gravel/salt EVERYWHERE you can pretty much ride anything.

San Antonio TX, ~28 hours away.

Yup we got the alamo right center downtown and yes tours are open. Quite a bit of cool stuff to see.  Never gets old.  I can take time off. We can clear out the spare room.
Winsome rain isn't really a natural disaster. just wait awhile and it goes away. Don't drive through the water when its running across the road and yer good.
