Title: Hard starting monster
Post by: Enzoman on May 27, 2010, 01:17:54 PM
I have an 1100s and it has been giving me trouble starting when cold. Yesterday I had to hit the starter about 5 times before it would stay running. Each time it would start for a second and then stall right out, and once it stayed running it would stumble a bit and it never goes to a high idle. It has almost 1000 miles on it and I had the 600 mile service done at around 780 miles. The dealer told me that they reset the TPS when they did the service and that would probably take care of it but it is still a problem. I been running 100% ethenol free 87 octane gas and it seems like it runs great once it warms up. Any thoughts before I take it back in?? Oh and it was about 92 degrees yesterday and still had problems starting if that means anything...

Thanks

Ask your dealer to check the stepper motor with the DDS tool.
