I decided to take a new way home today cuz the weather was so nice and as I come through some twisty's, low and behold someone left a big ol' pile of gravel right in the middle of the lane. need less to say, I went down. Front slide out and when I recovered, I was in the ditch. No real visual damage, alittle road rash, broken hand gaurd, and some good scratches on the tank. Will need to be repainted and some other minor stuff. Problem is when I restarted it, it makes a funny noise now and then, kinda like metal on metal. I know its internal and I believe its with the shifter. It goes into gear ok/ sometimes. When i go into 1st, I get the griding gears noise. The shifter looks fine along with all the linkage, the left side case has some pretty good scratches but no dents. No fuid leakage either.Could this be one of those shifter springs possibly, or something worse?
did you go down on the left side? sometimes the shifter can jam and you have to go into the case and adjust the shifter fork. ( i dont know the technical terms). but this happened to me and it shifts great afterwords
I'm w/ He Man. Sometimes falling on the left can jam up the internal shifting mechanisms w/o showing externally visible damage.
Oh, and you might wanna change the title to get more useful responses.
Yes, it was the left side. I am going to pull the case, and I have to do an oil change, so it's perfect timing. You say I may have to adjust the shifter fork. How do I do this? What do I need to look for? Thanks.

From the title, I was expecting some type of questions about performing cunnilingus.
