Riding in stop and go traffic in 90+ degree heat on my Monster 695.
Pulling off from a stop I was letting out the clutch and the bike stalled bc the clutch lever went limp- there was no resistance at all. The bike was a bit over 300 degrees- not sure exact temp. Pulled over and turned the bike off for a few minutes til it was about 280. Pulling away the clutch was still not rebounding but I was able to shift up and after a few blocks the lever was back to normal.
So my question: Was this from being too hot, did something get stuck, what should I be checking/worried about?
PS rode it several miles today and all was normal.
Any help is appreciated.

When was the last time the clutch was flushed/bled?
Not since I bought it last May and not sure when b4 that.
I'd say try a good flush and bleed then.

Just to elaborate on what Speeddogs thinkin' - you fluid is probably wet, as in saturated with water, at least as much as it can be. When it gets to that point, the boil temp of the fluid drops a lot. With the slave being stuck on the engine case, and the high temps you saw, the fluid might have been getting to or gotten to boil. Boiled fluid is a gas.. as we know gasses are a lot more compressible that fluids

It's suggested that it be done annually. OF course there's some wiggle room in that to either side. If you live in a really warm humid climate, probably more often. IF you live in the desert, probably less.
Same goes for the brakes.
