According to the Ducati website, part number 96766909B fits all Monsters from the 696 on. (Go to the Accessories section, find your item, and click on Fits On to see... which models a part fits on.)

There are different part numbers for each model and for ABS/non-ABS. The actual mufflers themselves should fit 696/796/1100, but if we're talking about the Termignoni mufflers available from Ducati Performance, they come as a kit with a replacement ECU that's different from bike to bike.

Did you find Termi slip-ons at the Ducati website that said the same model number fit on both 696 and 1100?

watch the years on the mufflers too. the 2010 696/1100 have the longer exhaust shield but the termi doesn't get it from what i read.

The key here is to check and not to assume. Just because a seat fits doesn't mean mufflers do.

You can download a parts catalogue for standard parts from the Ducati website and you can use the website to check whether DP accessories fit your bike. For aftermarket, non-DP stuff, you'll have to rely on the vendor.

You are right, I wasn't looking at the Duc site.  They have the ECU and filter.  I'm just interested in the sound as the 1100 I test rode had plenty of power.

You want some nice pipes.......get Akropovics if they make them for that bike.

I dunno, but it seems there are a few (many?) on this site who think its cool to hate on termi.  Something about it being over priced, don't get much for the money, crappy quality, the two brothers who make the pipes are lazy, etc...   :shrug:

I'm sure you'll get better 'value' with other companies, but if its all about value, I'd question why they bought a ducati to begin with.  You can get more 'bike' for the same money if you go with another manufacturer.

The termi quality is often junk. They do excellent systems, great looking cans, but the welds of horrible, and the fitment is often terrible too, BUT you get the DP ECU ($1300) thrown in, which make it worth it, since you have a better fueling situation (and tuneable if it's non-siemens).

Akrapovic welds are about as good as it gets, and their TI systems may be the most beautiful/well made systems on the market. (These are about the same costs as a termi system, with no ecu)

Arrow make excellent quality pipes as well. (alittle more reasonable priced) as do Leo Vince

Only termis include the ECU though, so you trade some quality/fit for proper air/fuel

Much of buying a Ducati is getting Quality Components out the door. Brembo brakes, steel lines, beautiful bike, excellent motor, the S models with ohlins (not the 696), marchesini wheels, USD forks on all models.  In this way, you get more, however it's not necessarily power-related

Yes. DP touring seat is most definitely interchangeable between M696 and M1100.  Mine started out on my 696 and now keeps my ass comfortably off the M1100's subframe too.

Thanks, I've only got like 80 miles on it and it is taking some getting used to.  My wife rode with me yesterday and she liked it, but felt like she was leaning forward a bit.....
