Just saw this TISSOT ad in my current GQ with Nicky Hayden and a Sport Classic.
Nice watch.

Yeah man, pretty cool. I like my Tissot T-Touch.
Tissot watches going on sale in 13 minutes on 'Gilt', wonder if that'll be one of em . . . .
I gave DQ a nice Tissot watch for our anniversary. I briefly considered the Nicky Hayden watch but thought it was too flashy for DQ's needs (something to wear to work and formal events such as our wedding).
The photo they took of Nicky has been taken at 10 minutes past 10.
Nearly every watch advertisement I have seen is taken at 10 minutes past 10.
Why?????????
:P
;D

Why?????????
Because subliminally it looks like the watch is smiling

Why?????????
it's symmetrical as well as shows the brand logo.

Because they took the photos at 10/10. :D
But why 10 minutes past 10?
Why not 13:50 ?? ;D

Why not 13:50 ?? ;D
becuase then 75% of the population is like "what the hell is 13:50?"
I have been told its 10:10 because it looks like a smile which is more pleasing to the eyes!
Seems that on most watches, when the hands are at the 10&2, nothing on the watch face is being blocked by the arms...just a guess though.

no then the hand would be closer to the 3 not the 2
and then the second hand is at about the 30 second mark.
it used to be that watches were photographed at 10:08 and 30 seconds = good symmetry
and as derby said, it doesn't block the logo.
i don't know why i know this.
