(http://i47.tinypic.com/rl9lpe.jpg) (http://i46.tinypic.com/97tjme.jpg) and just a bunch of detail shots for all you trivia buffs, pretty straightforward, obviously, remove tank, remove fuel pump, latch, gascap, reinstall parts in new tank, install new tank... 2 hours end to end. (http://i45.tinypic.com/2822tev.jpg) old tank part number/ information (http://i49.tinypic.com/f0ntol.jpg) old one in the box, new one in the bag.... (http://i45.tinypic.com/33jie75.jpg) new tank part number/ information (http://i49.tinypic.com/vyqkcl.jpg) pretty cool fuel quick-disconnects... (i know there's fancier ones out there, still cool) (http://i48.tinypic.com/ae5mc5.jpg) internal fuel pump and filter assembly... (http://i47.tinypic.com/kf5n6f.jpg) after......not much of a visual difference, but massive functional difference in latch.... [roll] (http://i49.tinypic.com/153uvcj.jpg) sooooooooo...... pretty simple and quick swap.... service writer today stated that this new tank is an emissions warranty item and is warrantied for 5 years from the construction/ model year of the bike itself so therefore this new tanks warranty will expire 2012 as this is a 2007 s4rs.... i had previously assumed that the new tank would have been warrantied from its date of installation, today.... oh well if and when the time comes, well fight about it then. |
