Post by: lazarus7 on June 02, 2010, 12:48:07 PM
tried a couple "before shots with direct noon sun, used fill flash to help a bit....

and just a bunch of detail shots for all you trivia buffs, pretty straightforward, obviously, remove tank,
remove fuel pump, latch, gascap, reinstall parts in new tank, install new tank...
2 hours end to end.

mechanic states that this rippling is common because of the construction of the tank and is
not related to the expansion issues....

sooooooooo......
pretty simple and quick swap....
service writer today stated that this new tank is an emissions warranty item and is warrantied for 5 years from the construction/ model year of the bike itself
so therefore this new tanks warranty will expire 2012 as this is a 2007 s4rs....
i had previously assumed that the new tank would have been warrantied from its date of installation, today....
oh well if and when the time comes, well fight about it then.
