So what'd ya all get.
I waited 30 mins in the line to buy my things and most everyone else was still shopping and hunting.

I was very reserved and got just two pairs of gloves and 3 hats impulse buy at the register.

Pair one RRP $456 for $100
Pair two RRP $160 (guessing) $30
Hats $10 each.

I know Gino spent $750 and got a load of gear that would have cost well over $2500 RRP

So tell us what you got and how dirty cheap it was.

Matty......you do not know me......but was it you that was pushing the shopping trolley around..?       ???     I can tell you what i got, but will then have to shoot you......

ummmmm   no Arai's fitted me........so i settled for a carbon Vemar lid for $150 (400 retail?).......also a nice female leather jacket (not for me) for $150......(think 500 odd retail) and one Dainese Duc Leather jacket for I for a mere $150  (5-600  ?)  Oh yes.......and gloves for $30...lets try not to wear it all at once..................   

Ducati leather suit, motard jacket, spyke boots, puma desmo boots, gloves, 3 leather jackets, some $5 shirts. All up $2k.

Do you know if today's stuff was all they had? I want another motard jacketfor my wife, was none left in her size though.I'm thinking of goin back tomorrow morning to see if they have pulled out some more stuff??

Was it all just apparel, or did they have parts / bling there as well?  ???

What a trip! Waited in line for about an hour watching Rob S, Jukie, Betty and Andy walk away with some cool stuff. Finally got in and we bought the following:


Spyke Totem boots $150 Guess worth over $300
Ducati Jacket $100 Tag said $500
2 x Ducati T shirts $40 guess worth $120
1 x Kids Ducati Jacket $40 Guess worth $120.

Was worth the wait.

Well I know what the theme is for our next group ride ... something that will probably be uttered where ever we go ... "fuggin Ducati wankers!".

But first we need to actually have a group ride ... luckily now we have all this gear - we don't have to!

Hey Groper......i have the same idea as you.........and it also seems that everyone spent much more than me so i feel left out now........in the back of my mind i am hoping that they could be re-stocking tonight just for us......

No, hang on I've got something ... it's been raining here for the proverbial 40 days and 40 nights and the first day that has a hint of sunshine (yes it still rained) to get out for a ride ... we were all out shopping [laugh]

Yeah I know I was pissing myself laughing this morning when I got up, lovely blue sky and streaks of clouds.

And no it wasn't me pushing any trolley would have looked a little silly with just two pairs of gloves and 3 hats.
I wish I had of looked for some pants a little more but meh oh well more $$$ for the next round of bling.

Well if it makes you feel any better we too finally have had some rain the past couple of days - otherwise it has been cold but good riding weather......ah benefits of the driest state in Australia.... [moto]

I got a pair of Spyke race boots for $150 (sticker price was $499 so i just had to get them lol) which are size 46. I had to much stuff to try things on and these are unfortunately to big for me. If anyone wants them for $150 let me know.  I swear i shop like a woman, something is on sale, doesn't matter if i need it or not, i'm gettin it!

What size is 46 ? Roughly 11 or 12 me thinks ?

US11.5 i think? I'm normally a 45 but i wanted a size bigger so i had room to tuck the leathers in. Unfortunately the shoe is just that little bit to big.

$150 + shipping or pickup if someone wants them. I just thought mention it to you guys in case someone missed out and wants a pair. I'm checking with family also in the hope it fits one of them so i can give it to them. So far, no dice.

Possibly. I am a 45 in alpinestars and Sidi which are a perfect fit for me. If you are a 46 in either of those brands then these will fit.

I am absolutly kicking myself for not going as i do need some new gear after being a road crayon!

i was pretty tame, managed a Spyke touring jacket & pants for $150, and a pair of Ducati Race gloves for $100 .. the amount of people squashed in there, brought back repressed memories of my last trip to Ikea so i had to get out of there....

Felt like a sardine, all I really wanted was gloves and got my 2 pairs.
I was in the first 30-40 people to get in and it felt like a boxing day sale.
People and hands grabbing at stuff everywhere!

Was like a drug ! Couldnt resist going back today after the bargains yesterday.Got there 7.30 sat 4th in line from the front door spotted a rack 2010 samples, so headed strait there. Got Dainese leather jacket $350 Dainese leather pants  $ 250 then pushed and shoved my way to the boots, Spyke tourers $150 , then just got pushed around to different spots picking up things on way out. Laminated poster S4R,shot from directly above $10 Ducati Corse big flag $2 then to make sure i dont get killed when i get home , a really cool black Ducati jacket for my girl, worked a treat ! so well that she wanted to check it out today , so got 2 pairs Dainese gloves $20 each, Spyke full wet weather suit carnt believe it was $50 Ducati sweater (cool as) $20 Duc belt $10 tea shirt 10 thats it !Today i am so happy ;D Tomorrow i'm riding , rain hail or snow  [moto]

Someone please take a pair of Spyke textile pants from me for a mere $50.....in Large Mens...got carried away......am in Sydney if anyone is interested......

Got there about 1:30 ish, still busy the queue wasnt too long, managed to get a few things, then after talking to one of my sons had to go back in and get more stuff (for the grandkids)- told you Im an old bastard, so I ended up with pair of textile pants, 3 backpacks, five hats, a thousand shirts and gloves, missed out on the last back protector and none of the shoes would fit me 9.5 was the biggest size, those ducati 2 piece suits looked sweet and a bargain at $800, oh well, at least I got something  [moto]

So, after some mucking around getting across the city this afternoon which made me double back to the cross city tunnel (anyone know what that rally was about?) I ended up getting down there around 3:30... Still a heap of stuff there and even further discounted..
I was originally chasing a spare jacket/gloves (for random cup cakes, my flat mate, etc) and some pants..

Got down there on Saturday morning (good to see you all by the way, sorry I didn't get to stick around too long) and grabbed:
Dainese Ducati Meccanica Jacket - $350 (Must have been a sample?)
Dainese Ducati Motard Jacket - $200 (Should be REALLY good come summer)
Ducati short gloves - $30
Puma casual shoes - $50
Anyway, popped down this afternoon expecting the place to be barren but surprisingly I found a Dainese two piece on the rack in my size.. Expected (and was quite happy) to pay the $750 but when I got to the counter (at 4:10) the guy said gave a smile and said it was "on special" and rang up $400.. I was ecstatic!
I had to chuck it on because It wouldn't fit in the back pack..

Got 2kms down the road and got absolutely drenched.  :'( - Damn the lack of wet weather gear storage on my bike.. (Anyone got any solutions?).. so it's sitting in the "Drying room" at the moment (My bathroom with a little heater in there).

Really chuffed with the purchases.. I've gone from one jacket to three and a two piece and saved an absolute packet! Just gotta get some boots and a new jacket for the boss now and I'll be sorted!

So what else did people managed to grab!?

Hi there Wells, sounds like you got the deal of the century on those leathers.  [beer]
Here are a few tips for you:
Careful not to overdry it. You will ruin the leather. As long as you don't make a habit of getting your leathers wet too often, they should be OK. Once they are dry, if they look a bit dehydrated, use the leather conditioner supplied with the suit to condition the leather (if it is infact conditioner??).
Don't rub in one place too much to avoid discolouration. (Wow, that didn't sound quite right, did it?)
Only condition the leather once it is completely dry. Buy yourself some light weight wet weather gear from a bike shop. Something that folds away quite compact for just in case. Don't buy a cheap and nasty one because they leak at the seams. Complete waste of time. Another option is to go to a tradies uniform supplier to buy it. They have nice compact ones that fold up really small.

Yep I'm almost glad I didn't get anything.
The only other thing(s) I would have liked would have been shorty gloves, didn't see any.
And a pair of leather pants but oh well.

I might be the only one wear non branded, you'll see me first or last.

Anyone know how many letters I've got to pull off before it becomes acceptable for me to wear!? Maybe I can leave the D for Dainese.
In an attempt to make the two piece acceptable I'm going to find a way to connect my 'normal' jacket to the pants of the two piece. (Courser zipper on the two piece, though I thought they were meant to be standard).

RE Wets, I've got a set which work fine but I just can't find anywhere on the bike to stow them.. Complete lack of storage  :(

Yes, I feel your pain in regards to the lack of storage. Seriously considering a "Virgin Seat".  ;D

...so you've got the cupcakes sorted - they can carry the wets for you!

or a tank bag maybe ? i prefer that to a backpack. Usually just try to make the call re. wets/dry before a ride. If you get caught out, then hopefully it ain't a long ride.

Yep i agree with Tricolore and about the next ride ! Put all my stuff on , looked in the mirror and i'm thinking i look a bit tragic !! [puke] Im going out to roll in the mud a bit, hopefully i'll look a bit more low key. :-[Gotta say though, never ridden befor in all leathers .Real slick feeling ,not so much windage as before.!Bit of a confidence boost too.Might just do all my riding at night now !! ;D 

Forgot to say , i did go to Frazers today to get a gear lever rubber . On the way out there's my $20 gloves from the sale $155 on the shelf !!!
