I once heard that Stevie got his start when he went into a studio and said he could play any instrument they had, and apparently he wasn't lying.

He grew up and went to school near my hometown. Everytime we went by the School for the Blind in Lansing, my mom reminded me that's where Stevie Wonder went to school.

Stevie Wonder was born on May 13, 1950, in Saginaw, Michigan. He was born prematurely and it was believed that he received too much oxygen in his incubator which caused his blindness. He was named Stevland Hardaway Judkins and later his name was changed to Stevland Hardaway Morris. Stevie is a singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer. He has become very famous for his music and has released more than 30 top ten hits. He has also won 22 Grammy Awards for solo artist and 1 Grammy for Lifetime Achievement Award. He also won an Academy Award for Best song, and has been inducted into both the Rock and Roll and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Stevie signed up with Motown records at the young age of 12 and is still recording today. He got his education at the Michigan School for the Blind in Lansing, Michigan and he trained in classical music. He plays the piano, synthesizer, harmonica, congas, drums, bongos, bass guitar, organ, melodica, and the keyboard.
