Title: Dropped my M750 last night, shifter a bit wonky.
Post by: Mike Qube on June 08, 2010, 05:26:24 AM
So.... last night when I was putting my bike way, I thought I put the kickstand down but it popped back up and I dropped the bike when getting off. Everything appeared ok on it because it kinda propped itself on my lawn more before it hit the ground. The this mornign when I take off for work, I notice the shifter isnt popping back up, it's getting caught on the kickstand:

It seems that it's going slightly too far down so I need to tap it to get it to pop back into place.
Is this as simple as adjusting the level so it doesn't go too far down, or could I have screwed something on the inside? The bike runs fine and shifts through all the gears.

Where would I adjust, there seems to be a few places that it could be done.

it looks just fine to me, so slight that I dont think it'd ever affect the riding feel.
playing with it would be a pain if you dont have the proper tool or machine.

You should bend it out a bit, if it's catching on the kick stand. And either way it might not be a bad idea to replace it.

Do you have one of those awful spring-loaded kick stands that retract by themselves like I do?

I've been wanting to replace mine, but I don't know what parts will fit.
