I'm pretty amped. We just put an offer on a house and it got accepted! It's our first place, 3 bedroom, wood floors, 3 sheds, 720 square meters (7750 square feet). It needs a bit of work but it's got heaps of potential, and it will be OURS! We've been renting, and I've been without a shed which kills me, so I'm stoked. Can't wait to move in!

congrats on the money pit house.

Congrats!
That is a BIG house, congrats!
7,750 sf is the lot, not the house, right?
Congrats on the house! However, you calculation to feet is a bit off. Still a very nice size IMO!
720m2 = 2376 ft2

Nope
720 m^2 x (3.28 ft)^2 = 7746 ft^2
Yeah the lot is 720 square meters. The house is pretty small but it's all we need. I know houses are money pits, but it's all adding value to my investment, unlike renting where you pay for somebody else's.
Nice!
Welcome to the world of equity.

Update...
Finance was officially approved today. All we need now is for the house to not be falling down and not be eaten to bits by termites and it'll be ours!
EXCITEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!!!
way to go!!!

Congratulations! [thumbsup]
Can't believe it has taken this long for someone to say...
Pics, or it didn't happen!
Oh, and a big [thumbsup]!
Weee! Congrats Howley... you know this means you get to buy more tools - right?
I was gonna say 7750 sq ft is haayhuge. 5x bigger than my place which has plenty of space for 2. But, a lot that size make a lot more sense.
Sure do yuu, already forming a list in my head!
Here is the advert for the house. The first pic is terrible, so be warned. Keep in mind it's in Australia, our houses look a little different to you yanks ;)

Congrats!
Like you said, needs a touch of work, but the inside looks to be in nice condition. Hope y'all love it.
