O k ive searched through pages and pages of posts while at work..(when my chief of medicine isnt looking)..and I have come to the conclusion (correct me if Im wrong) that if I run woodcraft clipons with a rise I will not need any help with spacers but if I do lsl 1.5 inch rise I will need spacers for the reservoirs. Is this correct? Im leaning towards the lsl on my s2r, but also concerned that I will have top dop my headlight/gauges...? Which I'd love to do but not about to start welding shit so...outta luck. Thoughts? Thanks!

Okay, a couple things here.
I am running woodcrafts on my S2R with risers. Yes, you will need spacers for your coffin reservoirs. If you have an S2R 1000 with pee-cup style reservoirs, you won't need spacers.

As far as lowering a headlight/gauges... you don't HAVE to, at least with the woodcrafts on an S2R800. You CAN if you want to, it will look better. have em on my bike, they're awesome.

you would just need some bolts/nuts to hold your gauges on UNDER the triple. you can drilll your triple out to acccept m6 bolts like mine, or you can thread an M5 in through the bottom.

those are awsome but for >1.50 ea you can use adel clamps, 6 of them(I got 4 50mm and 2 53mm so I could play with the height freely) shipped come in at a wopping 10$.

they are stainless steel slotted into rubber. they work phenomenally well, more stable than my cut down U bracket.

plus you get that post ride bragging right of "my motorcycle has jet parts on it"

Those look nice..but pricey. Where do you get the spacers for the reservoirs at?? May just drop the headlight/gauges at a later time. Where do you ifnd those sweet "jet parts"? haha

http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/ms21919clamps.php (http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/ms21919clamps.php), one thing, they dont come in metric sizes so you need to check the conversions. theres a bit of leeway so go with a bit extra room rather than not enough.

you really do have to lower the headlight and gauges when you go to clip ons. not so much for function as aesthetics (though with some clip ons you may run into interference with the headlight ears).  once the bars go lower the gauges stick out like a sore thumb and the only way to lower those is to lower the headlight too.

grab the adel clamps and a few bolts from any hardware store and you can lower them in 30 seconds before you even pick out a clip on. [thumbsup]

Thanks. I will just have to figure out the conversion. So I'm not to familiar  with this...your saying take the clamps and us e the original u-bracket screws? its that easy? Do you have any pics...I may tackle it this next wknd. Also..do you use the existing screws on the gauges?

both the fork collars i showed you, and those aircraft style clamps, would require use of the factory headlight "ears" (the triangle pieces" and all bolts associated. The U-Bracket itself would be eliminated. Which is nice.

It doesn't look TOO bad without lowering gauges, in my opinion. But it does look better when you do for sure.
You could always ditch the gauges and get a motogadget unit or something as well... but i guess you'd have to have your immobilizer disabled and shit too...

Yea I think I am going to go for the fork collars and do it right. I will let you know how it goes....and pmore than likely respond in a frustrated panice because I f'd something up haha..
