So here's the situation.
I have a set of s2r 1k forks and I bought a pair of
traxxion dynamics linear rate spring.
I tried to respring them today and realized that the spring
is much shorter ( understandable due to different spring rate)
but the springs come with two alloy spacer (about 12 cm)
now I dont know where these spacers go, seems to do below the springs
to compensate the short springs. but then how to measure the correct
length? and how much is needed?
do I still use the stock spacer afterwards?
I called traxxion, and they did not get back to me.
so Please if anyone has any idea, let me know.

I'd make the new spring and spacer the same length as the total of the old spring and spacer, and orient it the same. If you have pre-load adjusters make sure they are all the way out when you re-assemble
the spacer Traxxion dynamics supplied was wayyy too short to make the new springs and spacers the same as the stock springs and spacers.
they are at least 5-10 inches shorter combined! I will take measurements soon

How long is the original spacer?
If the Traxxion springs and spacers cannot be combined to get a length within 1/4" to the stock springs, it won't work correctly.
The S2R1000 forks I've seen have no separate spacer, other than the steel tube/plastic collar assembly that goes on top.
I think traxxion sent you the wrong kit.

I spent hours in HeMan's garage trying to figure this out while HeMan is busting his balls to
find out this as well.
the fork springs and spacers are in his garage now, so I can't get the measurements. but
they are vastly shorter than stock.
!!! TRAXXION DYNAMICS wont call me back.
Perhaps traxxion is off at a race or something?

I had the same thing when I got RaceTech springs for my 800. The new springs were inches shorter than the old ones. They were kind enough to include a 2' long piece of spacer material at my request so I just cut some new spacers to get a total height just a smidge longer than the stock spring + spacer. I cut them down a little from there to tune it just right. I suggest you measure the spacer diameter and then get some aluminum or steel tubing the same diameter. Don't bother with PVC, tubing is easy and cheap to get either locally or on the net. Don't hold up your exotic Italian machine with cheap plumbing parts.

IMO, PVC works fine if you use a washer at either end of it.
The forks are every day Japanese. :P

Dan from TD finally contacted me, and he confirmed that
the spacer they provide goes below the spring and then the stock spacer
so order is
Traxxion spacer (short) - washer- traxxion spring (short) - stock plastic cap- stock spacer-
so on and so forth.

what about oil height?
Set oil height to factory spec'd value without springs or spacers. For street riding it is only important to ensure that the oil height is high enough so that the cartridge damper does not suck air. Stick with the manual specs and adjust oil weight as necessary for your application and riding style.
