Title: Surprise Gift - Vintage Ducati Patch Post by: Javamoose on June 14, 2010, 09:05:29 PM Check this out, my Brother sent me a surprise gift. [thumbsup] I guess he has had it for a while and when I bought the Monster he sent it to me. It's a pretty sweet patch, in great shape, about 12-13in long.
Anyone have an idea how old this is? (http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4070/4702067931_9038038ed7_b.jpg) EDIT: Just to be clear, NO, I am not selling it. Just wondering how old it is, where it came from, what it was for, etc... Seriously though, is it not something that Ducati had made and really just some unlicensed knock-off? Title: Re: Surprise Gift - Vintage Ducati Patch Post by: Rock Store on June 15, 2010, 09:11:51 AM The eagle to Ducati represented "Speed & Precision" the Eagle represented the Single bevels as could be seen on most singles particulary the MK1 on the tank ,used until 1967.This patch you have is called eagle perched on the I. It is indeed a knock off, as the real moto patch was represented in another way, however its a very nice patch ,quite large & perfect for the windbraker jacket.
later...RS Title: Re: Surprise Gift - Vintage Ducati Patch Post by: Javamoose on June 15, 2010, 02:45:44 PM The eagle to Ducati represented "Speed & Precision" the Eagle represented the Single bevels as could be seen on most singles particulary the MK1 on the tank ,used until 1967.This patch you have is called eagle perched on the I.
