Ok folks, since life had more important things for me to deal with in Jan, I'm getting around to my 'birthday' now which is about my half birthday.
Right now the sketched up plan is to hit Shirlington, Saturday afternoon around 4 or a little earlier to accommodate as many schedules as possible.
Plan A is Cap-City in Shirlington for the large outside seating area and it's ability hold larger groups. But if it's hot as hell, that location might be amended.
Figure I'll just hang out there for a while. I know some folks learn towards the early side, some later hence the start time. So we can hang there until meal time or later, depending what the mob feels.
So CAMers if you feel like popping by, that's the story.
Ian/yuu
I'll be there!!
And Happy early Un-Birthday!!
PBR!!!....since it isn't your Bday...LOL

Ha, I have out foxed you! No shitty, hipster PBR for me. Cap city brews their own beers - so no chance of that filth touching my lips.
This is also why I did birthdays at Dr Dremos - no hard booze there, so no shots

Yeah... and where's that swank condo building that was supposed to replace it? We need another Starbucks, too.

Suckin' dix... The fancy places on Columbia pike that all got built or are in progress have something fantastic like 40% occupancy at the mo... But, at least there's a Lost Dog South there now, which I approve of.
Dremo's...... :'(
That was one of the few places I liked hanging out at in that area.
not sure if I liked it better as Dremo's though, or as Bardo....
Bardo was cool! So many nooks and crannies to get lost with sloppy drunk chicks.....ahhhh the single daze...
So many places to urinate, so little time......
HF1/2B Ian! Is this the big one?
Big one? Unless 33 has some significance I don't know of... I'll go with 'no' ;D

signifigance of 33....well...you must take a trip to LaTrobe , PA and go to the Rolling Rock brewery and do the tour and taste many of their beers until you gain the real reason of why 33 is on the back of their bottle.....
Ick... see my comments about PBR...
I promised some friends I would support their bike wash for the Koman 3-day out in Winchester at some point that afternoon...but after that.... [drink]
I remember 33 like it was 7 years ago........yeah...
So if you had to pick, a case of Rolling Rock or a case of PBR?
[evil]

I'd go for the PBR if I HAD to choose between the 2 of those...
Savages...
Whenever I turned my nose up at something at the dinner table.....thats all the old man would feed me for a week! (At least thats the story I use on my kids when its asparagus time).
That, coupled with the walk uphill both ways through 3' deep snow, story should get me far.
What is the beer of choice just for the record?
There's no single one really... Newclastle is a strong fave in the easy to get category. Recently discovered the Ale from Highland brewing http://www.highlandbrewing.com/beerstyles.htm (http://www.highlandbrewing.com/beerstyles.htm) - that's been a fan fave at my house. Then there's basically anything out of Belgium..
Yeah, my base line beer is Newcastle... I'm a make the beast with two backsin' beer snob and I like it.

I am a beer snob too...now mind you...I do so make drinking choices occasionally based on what is available ( hence the choice between two bad beers-but knowing exactly what to expect from them both) ...for a daily drinking beer though, I like my lagers and Molson XXX is pretty good for exactly what it is...right now I have had a hankering for some Hoeggaarten as of late...
does root beer count here fellas? ;D ??? ;D [drink]

Thats sounds yummy!
For the couple folks I haven't met yet - I'm planing to wear my white 80s logo polo shirt today.
Hey Ian, are you bringing the pup down?
No. I've got 200 pounds of dog under my watch this weekend and that's just too much. Also neither are much for heat so they would nit be happy critters

Nah, you would've missed anyway. I have a reputation for riding a fast 5 MPH! [evil]
Seriously, though, the wife flew outta town for biz last night. I'm a
bachelor single dad until Wednesday night. I will be hauling baby Tuesday night.
