About two weeks ago a 7 year old kiddo disappeared from his school seemingly without a trace. His step-mom dropped him off after taking him around to see a science fair at his school. She watched him go down the hall toward his classroom, a classmate saw him walk that way, and his coat and backpack were found in the classroom. The step-mom was seen leaving without him. His parents were unaware he wasn't in school until he didn't get off his bus at the end of the day.
This is such a sad story, and one that is affecting our community in profound ways. I felt such sadness the other day, I drove by Sauvie Island and saw helicopters and search crews on the ground looking for him. There are billboards and signs up all over town.
Police are acting on tips, but no information is being passed to the community, which is probably for the better. To anyone not on the inside, it seems like there are no clues, no ideas about where he could be.
I know it's a stretch, but if you all can look at his pic to put his face in your mind, that would be great because there is no knowing where he could be right now.

I have seen the story on the national news. It really is sad and bizarre.

Oh man, sad.
very sad :(
thoughts and prayers sent....
Update:
Kyron still hasn't been found. Turns out the step-mom tried to hire their landscaper to kill her husband, Kyron's Father, some time back. A restraining order was filed, the dad moved out with their 19 month old daughter, and a divorce filed.

Something doesn't sound good about this situation.
Poor, innocent child dragged into adults inability to communicate properly. >:(
makes me sick.
At first I tried to stay neutral in my opinions about this whole thing, as it's not my business and I don't know all the details, but something does seem fishy about that stepmom, especially now that all this info is coming to light.
Here's another tidbit: Search and Rescue were out looking for him on Sauvie Island within a couple of days of his being missing.... Sauvie Island is pretty big and a lot of it is marshland. There isn't much there except for some residential houses and farm lands. Her cellphone pinged a tower ON the island the day he disappeared, during the time she was allegedly back home.

If all that is true about the mobile phone, god bless the world for stupidity.
Mobile phones are tracked all the time by towers.
They will nail this lady if it indeed proves to be true and they can prove guilty in a court.
Man this is a sad story. It's been making the news up here a lot as well. I sure hope they find that little boy and he's OK.
Agreed that the stepmom is fishy. Kids just don't go missing from inside the school.
I've been following this on the national news; such a tragic story.
Definitely something strange about the stepmom. Wonder if she let him put his stuff in the classroom and then called him back out and left with him...it's all just so strange.
