Title: Motodynamic LED tail wont work with LED blinkers?
Post by: NJ Monster on June 16, 2010, 08:23:15 PM
I have these LED blinkers: http://www.monsterparts.com/pc/ES181/Electrical/ES181.html (http://www.monsterparts.com/pc/ES181/Electrical/ES181.html)

and I also have the Motodynamics integrated LED tail light and they wont work tgoether.
At first I thought it was the tail light since the blinkers were working fine, but after getting
off the phone with motodynamics and testing the LED tail just on my battery, it worked fine.
Motodynamics told me it is either the harness they provided me with the LED tail or I would need
a "small restister pack" for the front LED blinkers? Can anyone help me with this situation and lead
me in the right direction? I havent tried re-installing the OEM blinkers and then testing the tail because
I havent had time yet. But what are these "small resister packs" he speaks of and where can I get them
from?

btw, my blinkers do not blink "too fast"

thanks,

Recheck your wiring.  If the tail light works when attached to the battery it should work on the bike.  Or is it the blinkers that don't work?  What year and model are you riding?

Dude, I just went through the same thing with my lail light and I am sending it back to them this week for them to test the light.
I even had them send me another module but I had the same results.  The thing is I dont have led front signals. I just have regular ole bulbs up front that work fine and they also do not blink fast.

My situation was the rear light would only work for periods of time. As I would ride it would work fine but coming to stops or shuting the bike down and back up again the light would not work.  I have been fighting this for over a month and finally gave up. I have replaced all my fuses and the switch relay with nothing working.

the problems I was having was the brake light would work but no signals....powering down the bike and back on again the brake light would not work at all.  It would just have the running light on and when I engaged the brake the entire light would just dim.  I have given up. I hope they find a problem with the light itself because I just want to ride the damn bike.
