The installation first landed at Burning Man 2009, and has subsequently appeared at NASA Ames for Yuri's Night, and at Maker Faire. The piece is comprised of a single rocketship, poised as if to board passengers for a typical run to a nearby stellar destination. When installed in San Francisco, the sculpture will be accompanied by a descriptive exhibit, a "rocket stop", which tells the story of the rocketship, provides route, schedule and other information. The installation will be illuminated for nighttime viewing. Title: Re: Rockets Coming to San Francisco Post by: Michael Moore on June 19, 2010, 05:30:12 AM I saw that at the Maker Faire. Very cool, very Buck Rogers.

So cool that's it's going to down by the ferry building for over a year. Title: Re: Rockets Coming to San Francisco Post by: MendoDave on June 27, 2010, 06:47:45 AM I think that's very cool. i don't think I will be in the city then to check it out though. At first i thought that BARF was involved in this. I'm not sure who BRAF is, but my guess is that they don't wheelie R1's in traffic.
