Title: Bike chain beneath passenger seat Post by: Lani808 on June 25, 2010, 05:14:37 PM I'm not that familiar with naked bikes so forgive me if I sound like a complete idiot. I intend to get a Monster 696 one day but I'm worried about how the chain is exposed just beneath the passenger's seat. Is this a safety hazard? Are there chain guards available (if that even makes sense for a Monster)? I guess I'm just very worried that it could slice or cut the passenger's legs... or am I just paranoid? :-\
Please let me know, thanks! -L Title: Re: Bike chain beneath passenger seat Post by: ducatiz on June 25, 2010, 05:18:01 PM you can get a chain guard, but i've never heard of a problem. just keep your feet (or passenger's feet) on the pegs..

You're being paranoid. Title: Re: Bike chain beneath passenger seat Post by: somegirl on June 26, 2010, 06:13:19 AM This was the only 2-up picture that I had (sorry no bigger version):
(http://paularickert.net/albums/userpics/dml_ladies_01sm.jpg) If their feet are on the pegs they are plenty far enough from the chain. Title: Re: Bike chain beneath passenger seat Post by: Lani808 on June 26, 2010, 11:48:40 AM omg thats such a sweet photo.
