Title: Sunday Afternoon Malibu Ride? Post by: GregP on June 26, 2010, 04:33:12 PM I have a few hours to myself tomorrow afternoon @ 4pm-7pm and I am considering a Malibu run.
Anyone, anyone. . .? I've never ridden Malibu on a Sunday afternoon. Is it just thick with CHP, squids, and cruisers? Let me know if it's a complete cluster fvuck or worth the effort. Here is the route I usually take, there is almost no traffic at all....
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Malibu+Canyon+Rd&daddr=34.066881,-118.683243+to:Mulholland+Hwy&geocode=FfhTBwIdULvs-A%3B%3BFTdVCAIdvmDt-A&hl=en&mra=dpe&mrcr=0&mrsp=1&sz=13&via=1&sll=34.08309,-118.65921&sspn=0.081466,0.154324&ie=UTF8&z=13 (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Malibu+Canyon+Rd&daddr=34.066881,-118.683243+to:Mulholland+Hwy&geocode=FfhTBwIdULvs-A%3B%3BFTdVCAIdvmDt-A&hl=en&mra=dpe&mrcr=0&mrsp=1&sz=13&via=1&sll=34.08309,-118.65921&sspn=0.081466,0.154324&ie=UTF8&z=13) Once you get to Mulholland, left will take you towards the Rock Store and right will take you to either Old Topenga Canyon Road(which is awesome) or to Topenga Canyon Road(usually more traffic than Old Topenga). There are a couple of rough spots on Piuma so if you've never run it before a quick sight run might be good. Title: Re: Sunday Afternoon Malibu Ride?
