Title: Would you buy a used ECU? Post by: Enzoman on June 27, 2010, 04:29:01 AM I'm looking at a used DP racing ECU for my 1100 but I was thinking it could be risky since it is used and it is an electronic device. Do these things typically fail or are they pretty much bullet proof?
Thanks Title: Re: Would you buy a used ECU? Post by: Enzoman on June 27, 2010, 04:36:40 AM doh! never mind, the guy ended the auction 3 days early. I didn't think they could do that when there are bids on it. Ebay sucks ass...
Title: Re: Would you buy a used ECU? Post by: M1100 on June 27, 2010, 04:57:26 AM There is a guy on here with a new stock one for sale--why not buy his and reflash it or tune it (at a shop)?
Title: Re: Would you buy a used ECU? Post by: Enzoman on June 27, 2010, 08:43:16 AM I would like to get the whole Termi kit. There was no reserve on this used kit so I was gonna put a bid in and see what happens but then the auction ended. Someone must have made an offer on it or something. I'll probably end up getting a new kit through my dealer. I just didn't want to have to pay $1500+ for it.

Title: Re: Would you buy a used ECU? Post by: ryandalling on June 28, 2010, 05:37:58 AM Our local Ducati dealer is no re-flashing the ECUs... I think they said it can be done for $500... not certain if that helps any as I don't know the used eBay cost on these items.
