Title: Rear shock with resivor for S2R
Post by: Ontario_Monster on June 28, 2010, 02:21:48 AM
Anyone running a rear shock with resivor on an S2R/S4R, looking for pics and part number or specify which bike the shock originally came from.  I can't get a Sach from a 999 to fit without having to grind bits.

Cheers

thats right. for a 999shock, you need to grind of the tab that is used to hold the ignition coil for the rear cylinder.

i also bent the tab down as well as grinding

i used j-clips to remount coil

keep an eye on whether the rezzy hits the triangle part of the swinger

Here's what I did to provide a mounting point for the rear coil on my 695, after cutting off the original mounting tab.
