Title: Viva la DMF
Post by: CharliesAngel on May 06, 2008, 03:01:39 PM
Hey there - just checking in...
This is very cool Lumbergh, et al!!! So before I signed up here with the DMF, I was having a pretty bad morning...couldn't start my bike this morning, then couldn't roll it back into my garage due to the slope of my sidewalk, then it fell over (*sigh*...DQ...I know!!!  pu::)... but got the bike started after talking to a friend, registered here, and life is good again!  ;D

Name: Stephenie (Charlie)
Location: San Francisco
Bike(s) (if any): Monster 620 (sold), 900SS
How long you've been riding: hmmm, 7 months now?
Anything else you'd like to share: I've always wanted a nickname and the whole "handle" thing got me thinking that this is my one chance to create one...some would think that's pretty pathetic but I'll admit it, I've led a sheltered life... :'( so yeah, my middle name is Charlotte... hence Charlie...

it's got a little scuff on the bottom of my fairing....  :'(
i had Desmoto put the mushroom frame sliders on the inside of the bike the second I bought the bike so the frame should be good... plus I wasn't exactly moving...  ::)
i have go to learn to roll/push my bike around...anyone up for some tutoring on this little exercise?

If you can't sit on it and reach well, ask one of the short people (msincredible comes to mind). I can paddle it around on it, and I feel that more secure. So I can't roll it when I'm off it to save my life.

Howdy! I was on a slight hill and I was trying with all my might to "paddle" it backwards even with 1/2 my feet on the ground...not exactly something I can do easily on a 400+lbs. bike...I should have tried facing the bike and pushing it...oh well...live and learn...
