Title: Do the Ducati Key Blanks w/Transponder for sale on Ebay work? Are they reliable Post by: darkattackdog on June 28, 2010, 05:10:24 PM I've recently finally lost all the keys to my 2003 Monster M800. There are Ducati Key Blanks w/Transponder for sale on Ebay and I'm wondering if they actually work and if anyone knows, if they do work, where you would send the Key Blank for cutting?
Thanks in advance! Title: Re: Do the Ducati Key Blanks w/Transponder for sale on Ebay work? A local locksmith cut and cloned mine.

If you cannot find your key, your best bet (cheapest, easiest) is to get your ecu reprogrammed to disable the immobilizer and get a regular key cut by a locksmith. There is a service to recover your key code and make a working key, but I think you have to send them your ecu and dash and IIRC it is more expensive.

If you have the red key you can get them cloned via the ECU, but you need 2 black keys during the process. i have one of the ebay transponder keys i picked it up for $25. |
