Seems these times are for a flyer lap, not so indicative of race pace due to the heat.

Yeah and Stoner/Spies both pulled those times out of their rear end at the end of the session.  I say Lorenzo manages the race and then pulls away once again.  I don't think anyone can keep up his pace over race distance at the moment.  He's on another level right now.

Very good warmup times.  I hope my prediction with Lorenzo was wrong.

Who is randy De Puniet and when did he learn to ride a bike!?!?

Wait a damn minute. Pedrobot says he had no front brakes going into the first turn after getting the holeshot? Ah.... didn't you just do a sighting lap seconds before then and you certainly had brakes then. What, now they're gone after the light goes green? WTF?? I'm sure Brembo would be very upset to know that their brakes failed you in a matter of seconds. What a piece of shit! No, not the brakes.. you! Midget warrior needs to man up (if he can... [bang]) and shake loose from Puig and just say he make the beast with two backsed up. It's OK, your old teammate (and I use that term loosely) does that all the time! [roll] You just make the beast with two backsed up and straightened out the first turn. Big deal. Show some balls and don't blame it on your brakes. It's Ok... we'll still hate you anyway! [laugh]

I'm sure this isn't the place....but holy moto2 race batman!

Moto2 is shaping up to be a great category.

Pedrobot said the bike got some headshake on the way to turn one.

and Dovi halfway blames a wonky rear brake for his off.

At least Stoner isn't blaming anyone but himself this week!

Seriously.  ???  My biggest gripe about RDP is that mostrobelle and enzo came over to watch and I couldn't get MB to stop licking the TV screen.  It made it difficult to watch the race. 

 

Well, I think Bautista's shoulder is better (despite a Sat crash), so that probably helped.   He's been riding messed up for a while now.  Also, at this point, they probably know that they're going to go through their engine allotment, I wouldn't be surprised if they said, "make the beast with two backs it, hop that pregnant dog up."

First, second and third in the championship are pretty spread from the rest.  But there's a TON of room for movement amonst the rest. Nicky actually moved up a notch by virtue of Valentino continuing to drop.  

Wow.  what a pile-up in T1.  :o  And why didn't Morales get the position rather than a DNF?  He and his bike crossed the line.  And they may have even been touching at that point, as his bike landed on his back/neck right around the finish line.  Last I heard, he only had bruises.  I was pretty sure at first that he broke everything. 

That crash was brutal!  :o Glad to hear he's "OK".

Faaack.  :o   I guess that's why they wear back protectors and have speed humps.  Bikes bounce right off 'em.  
I'm not sure if it's worse in slow mo or real time.  In real time cuz you get a sense of the speed he was carrying when he had the get-off, but in slow-mo . . . OUCH!

Anyone have video of that Moto2 T1 carnage (before it gets pulled by Dorna)?

If you pause the vid at 18sec, you can see the bike is headed off the track, and he is heading straight. Then he
gets jerked back off of the track (foot must have been caught on something).
